Brooklyn Infant Mortality Reduction Initiative Mission (BIMRI)
The mission of this cross-cutting initiative is to coordinate infant mortality reduction activities across multiple programs and through community partnerships and to pilot new interventions in Central Brooklyn, to reduce infant mortality and lessen racial, ethnic, and geographic disparities.

Committee to Save Our Hospitals
Committee to Save Our Hospitals is a coalition of faith-based leaders, community-based organizations, civic and tenant organizations, health advocates, civil rights lawyers and individuals from Central Brooklyn who came to together to address:

bullet Real and potential withdrawal of hospital health services from out Central Brooklyn communities which are already under-served areas, and which have the highest levels of health disparities for all age ranges and illnesses .
bullet Service reductions and closings of OB/GYN, maternal and pediatric in-patient and outpatient community clinics, and the potential for hospital closings. These can result in serious service gaps and widening disparities in health status.
